I've been waiting the whole winter for a day like today We meet up after school and we go out and get wasted We're too young to buy drinks and not allowed to paint walls We did both every weekend No roof was ever too high for us to climb up We were always on the run no one could catch us We saw city lights and shooting stars We felt free until we saw the police cars I remember sleeping in a tent at night to get outside at night We were robbed in an unknown city - being chased by dogs ain't pretty But the years pass and we get older now there's a lot of weight on our shoulders Nothing is how it used to be and I know that it never will be
